EVALUATIONS:

Evaluations include a client history form, parent interview, observations, and standardized test(s) that may assess the following as needed:

• Articulation
• Augmentative & Alternative Communication (AAC)
• Executive Functioning

  • Verbal, Augmentative/Alternative, Gestures
• Social Communication
• Written Language

THERAPY:

All speech therapy services are tailored to each unique child and their family's wants, needs, and favorite activities. Speech therapy services are provided in-home, throughout the community, or online via teletherapy.

Many families choose online speech therapy for the following reasons:

• Safety during unprecedented times. No contact, no masks.

• Convenience! Save time and energy by receiving therapy services in the comfort of your own home

• Children love it! Kids love technology, and many children participate even better in virtual therapy because of the fun (and therapeutic) games, interactive activities, and they don't become disregulated from a drive to therapy because it happens in their own home

• It's easy for kids to socialize, too. We offer group sessions for up to 3 children at a time, and they enjoy socializing as they interact with therapy activities during our online sessions!

• Children benefit from teletherapy just as they do in-person therapy, and it's much more convenient!

• Teletherapy is endorsed by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association

Specialty Services:

We have a special interest in treating communication difficulties related to Executive Functioning, Augmentative & Alternative Communication (AAC), and Language Development.

We often work with clients who have neurological diagnoses such as ADHD, Autistic Disorder (ASD), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Concussion, Stroke, and Language Delay.

While these are our specialties, we provide therapy services for all children needing help in the following areas regardless of related diagnoses:

• Articulation
• Augmentative & Alternative Communication (AAC)
• Cognitive Communication
• Executive Functioning (planning, organization, task sequencing, problem solving, task- and self-monitoring)
• Receptive (understanding) & Expressive Language

Family Coaching:

Here at Individualized Therapy Solutions, we know how difficult it can be to understand new diagnoses, and how challenging it is to use strategies learned in speech therapy in the home environment - especially if services are not provided in the home environment.

At ITS, we not only help children with communication and thinking difficulties via speech-language therapy, but we also help their families:

• Understand new diagnoses and the impacts of cognitive and/or communication difficulties on daily activities

• Alter their home environment to make it optimal for communication with their child, and

• Carry over strategies learned in therapy to the home environment so that families can most easily and successfully communicate with their child

We offer in-home and online teletherapy services so that families can use our strategies, techniques, and activities where they are needed most – right at home.
